Bowl Out Tiebreaker
Sometimes you only have five minutes left before the ground closes or the lights go off. Bowl Out is the quickest way to settle a tied match. Five bowlers from each side, one stump each delivery — most hits wins. It's nerve-wracking, it's fast, and it's now built into Gully Crix.
Gully and box cricket runs on borrowed time. The turf slot is booked to the minute, the floodlights cut out on a timer, and the next group is already waiting at the gate. When a match ends in a tie with no time left for another full over, a Bowl Out is the answer — cricket's version of a penalty shootout, settled in under a couple of minutes.
The format is brutally simple: five bowlers from each side, one delivery each, aiming at a single stump. Hit and it counts; miss and it doesn't. Gully Crix walks you through it — enter your five bowlers per team, then record each delivery as a Hit or a Miss. The running tally is kept for you, so there's never any confusion about who's ahead.
If the five-a-side rounds finish level, the app moves straight into sudden death, where a single delivery can decide everything. It's tense, it's fast, and it gives every tied match a clean, fair winner even when the clock has completely run out.

Frequently asked questions
How does a Bowl Out work in Gully Crix?
Each team nominates five bowlers who take one delivery each, aiming at a single stump. The app records each as a Hit or Miss, and the team with the most hits wins.
When should I choose a Bowl Out over a Super Over?
Pick a Bowl Out when there's almost no time left — for example the ground is closing or the lights are about to go off. It settles a tie far faster than a full Super Over.
What happens if the Bowl Out is tied?
If both teams finish level after five bowlers each, the app moves to sudden death — one delivery at a time until one team hits and the other misses.
